IT Systems Administrator, Infrastructure & Security Unit

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems & Infrastructure Administrator to support and enhance our growing technology environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure while contributing to modernization and cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.

The job

Administer and maintain the company's servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
Manage virtualization platforms and storage environments
Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
Ensure business continuity through backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions
Provide user support and training
Maintain documentation of systems architecture, configurations, and procedures
Support network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and access controls
Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls based on best practices
Support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security monitoring
Assist in maintaining compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements
Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues
Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers
Support IT projects and implementations
Occasional after-hours support may be required for planned maintenance or critical incidents

The Requirements

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
3+ years of experience in a similar role
Proven hands-on experience with firewalls, virtualization platforms, and networking
Experience with Active Directory and identity management
Knowledge of cybersecurity solutions and cloud services
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage priorities and work independently
Strong communication and documentation skills
Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Azure, Cybersecurity) will be considered an advantage
