Ancoria Insurance a steadfast supporter of the Cyprus Shipping Industry

Ancoria Insurance Public Ltd continues for the fifth consecutive year its support to the Cyprus Shipping Industry by granting another three full scholarships.  The successful recipients for 2022 are Christoforos Christoforou, Froso Theocharous and Sotiris Hadjiathanasiou who have been granted full scholarships for the seven subjects required to undergo the Professional Qualifying Examinations (PQE) for Membership (MICS) to the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).

According to Mr. Christis Michaelides, General Manager of Ancoria Insurance in Limassol: “The Shipping industry is one of the main pillars of the Cypriot economy.  Ancoria is privileged to be associated with a large number of organisations within the industry.  Our intention is to have a positive income on our associates, the careers of the scholarship recipients and the shipping industry in general.  Congratulations to the recipients and we wish them every success in their journey.”

The ICS Scholarship Program is part of Ancoria Insurance Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, and complements the mission of its main shareholder, the Sievert Larsson Scholarship Foundation, in supporting education. The Sievert Larsson Scholarship Foundation, was established in 2007 with the purpose to facilitate the education of high calibre students that have exhibited excellence through their academic achievements and has so far granted thousands of scholarships globally.
